Mainly performed indoors, provides instructors with updated information, in particular on:

​

a) The regulations, the legal aspects linked to the exercise of the training activity, as well as the accidentology, this by means of real case studies

​

b) Human factors components, threat and error management (TEM), and pedagogy

​

c) Mechanics and maintenance of microlights.

​

Validity, extension and renewal:

​

1) Validity: The qualification of microlight pilot instructor is valid until the last day of the 36th month following that of its issue, extension or renewal. It mentions the class or classes of microlight for which (or which) the holder has satisfied the delivery conditions.

​

2) Extension: The instructor qualification is extended if the candidate meets the following conditions:

- attended the microlight pilot instructor refresher course

- carried out a control flight.

​

3) Renewal: The instructor qualification is renewed if the candidate demonstrates having satisfied in the twelve months preceding the renewal under the following conditions:

- attended the microlight pilot instructor refresher course

- has undergone a satisfactory educational evaluation in flight.
